Resonance Creates the Miss Hibiscus Effect

One of the most exciting and monumental projects for the Resonance team in 2024 was overseeing the revival of the 68th Miss Hibiscus Festival, hosted in Suva during the second term school holidays. This event has always been a beloved part of Fiji’s cultural calendar, and we were honored to bring it back to life. Our team, working alongside The Suva City Council, took charge of every element, from crafting the brand identity and designing logos, to managing public relations, sponsorships, and creative visual displays. We also oversaw the festival set-up, entertainment, performances, album launches and handled the event management with meticulous care.

The festival had a significant economic impact, injecting over a million dollars into Suva’s domestic economy. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) thrived, with many collecting over $50,000 during the eight-day celebration. There was a noticeable rise in interest in food tourism, hotel accommodation, general transportation, and retail shopping. The festival village, bustling with activity, attracted both locals and tourists alike. The excitement even extended to a cruise liner that docked at Suva Wharf, giving passengers the chance to experience Fiji’s largest celebration of pageantry, food, entertainment, and culture.

At Resonance, we pride ourselves on being a team of creative, passionate individuals dedicated to executing visions with a touch of international flair. Our work on the 68th Miss Hibiscus Festival is a testament to our commitment to delivering excellence and raising the bar for event experiences in Fiji.
