Trade Exhibition of the People’s Republic of China in Fiji 2024

The CCPIT and the Ministry of Trade of Fiji will jointly host the Trade Exhibition of the People’s Republic of China in Fiji 2024 from November 21 to 24, 2024.

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Fiji in 1975, bilateral relations have developed smoothly, and economic and trade cooperation has maintained steady and robust growth. Especially after the signing of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) cooperation memorandum, both countries have achieved significant results in areas, such as policy communication, infrastructure connectivity, trade facilitation, financial cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges. This year marks the 10th anniversary of President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Fiji. Over the past decade, the relationship between China and Fiji has developed rapidly with fruitful cooperation in various fields, which has continuously benefited the peoples of both countries. In August this year, Fiji’s Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka visited China and held high-level meetings with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang of China, during which new important agreements were reached. This exhibition is a concrete measure to achieve the outcomes of the meetings between the leaders of China and Fiji, and further promote economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between the two countries. This year’s exhibition has three main features as follows:

First of all, it is the largest economic and trade event in the history of such exhibitions. The Trade Exhibition of the People’s Republic of China in Fiji 2024 has set a new record for the largest exhibition organized by China in Fiji. This exhibition covers the indoor display area of around 1,000 square meters and the outdoor display area of around 600 square meters. It has attracted 30 Chinese companies, including China Mobile, China Railway Construction, Huawei, SHACMAN, Hytera, Great Wall Motors, Daqin Energy Storage and others. These companies represent various fields, such as infrastructure construction, general machinery, power equipment, household and electronic products, automotive and spare parts, fisheries and processing equipment, agricultural production technologies, and agricultural machinery. This exhibition fully demonstrates China’s strong strength in technology, manufacturing and innovation.

Secondly, this exhibition showcases the integration of high-end products and cutting-edge technology. The Chinese companies participating in this exhibition are leading brands in their respective industries, showcasing the latest technological achievements and product applications in several cutting-edge fields, such as high-end manufacturing, smart technology and green energy. These high-quality products and technologies not only demonstrate China’s outstanding achievements in technological innovation and industrial upgrading, but also provide an important platform for Fiji and Pacific Island countries to learn about China’s advanced technologies and products. It can help foster economic and trade cooperation and technical exchanges between two countries at higher levels.

Thirdly, it provides a platform for in-depth exchanges and cooperation. To ensure that exhibitors and guests can make full use of this opportunity to deepen exchanges and cooperation, the Trade Exhibition of the People’s Republic of China in Fiji 2024 has carefully organized a series of supporting activities. Among them, the highly anticipated opening ceremony and the China-Fiji Trade and Investment Forum will be held on the morning of November 21 at the Vodafone Arena. At that time, senior government officials from both countries, industry associations, representatives of exhibitors and buyers, as well as numerous media representatives will be invited to join this celebration. Additionally, carefully organized reception and other activities will provide participants with a relaxed and enjoyable opportunity for further exchanges and cooperation.

The Trade Exhibition of the People’s Republic of China in Fiji 2024 is not only an important platform for Chinese companies to reach out to the world, but also a key opportunity for Fiji and other Pacific Island companies to learn about China and explore potential opportunities for cooperation. With great enthusiasm and sincerity, we would like to extend a warm invitation to Fiji’s government departments, business associations, media, and representatives from all sectors to attend the Trade Exhibition of the People’s Republic of China in Fiji 2024. We sincerely hope that Fiji’s major media outlets can provide comprehensive and in-depth coverage of this exhibition and its related activities, attracting more visitors and allowing professionals and the general public to gain a broader and deeper understanding of China. We sincerely look forward to the successful holding of this exhibition, which can further strengthen China-Fiji economic and trade relations and take bilateral friendly cooperation to new heights.
