Record-Breaking 112 Nominees Announced for 2024 Fiji Sports Awards

The stage is set for Fiji’s premier sporting recognition event, the 2024 Fiji Sports Awards, scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 22nd, at the Vodafone Arena in Suva. This year’s edition has already made history, attracting a record-breaking 112 nominees across 22 national sporting organizations and 3 Major Media Outlets – a testament to the growth and resilience of Fiji’s sporting community.

Surpassing last year’s 98 nominees, the 2024 edition reflects the unwavering commitment of athletes, coaches, and administrators who continue to elevate Fijian sports on both local and international stages.

Mr. Peter Mazey, CEO of the Fiji Sports Commission, which is hosting the awards, acknowledged the milestone moment for Fijian sports:

The night will feature awards across multiple categories, including Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year, Coach of the Year, Administrator of the Year, and Team of the Year, among others.
