Our fourth featured interview is with William Qounadovu — Power Forward & Center for the Kaunikuila Islanders. Originally from Waiqanake in Rewa, with maternal links to Wailevu, Tunuloa in Cakaudrove, William has dedicated more than 20 years to the game of basketball.

For William, basketball has always been more than just a sport. It became a safe space, a second home, and most importantly, a family. Through every challenge and every loss, he found motivation to work even harder and continue growing both on and off the court.
From showing up to practice every day, enjoying competitions, representing Fiji, and celebrating every achievement together, William reflects on how the sport has helped create lifelong bonds and shaped him into a stronger and better person. He believes in always being there for one another and keeping God at the center of everything.

William is a true source of inspiration, and we’re grateful to feature him as our fourth player in “Break The Line” Volume 2.
